Precious Paws is a new company but with years of experience.
We are based in Grappenhall Heys, South Warrington and look after animals in all of the surrounding areas including Appleton, Grappenhall, Stockton Heath, Walton and further afield also.
Precious Paws was created after being a dog walking customer ourselves for many years. Our own dog walker for Mac was a lovely lady who took great care of Mac a few times a week and his Mum, Julie, was mighty jealous. She went off to work for the Bank everyday whilst our lovely dog walking fairy grandmother had fun looking after dogs all day.
So, Mrs Dog Walker retired and Julie (the boss) finally bit the bullet and threw herself into the Precious Paws project. Bye bye boring bank job!
Our main aim today is to provide a loving, trusting, fun environment for your pets when you are simply not there. If you work full time or on certain days, if you are out for the day and cannot take your loved one with you, if you fall sick or if you take a little holiday it’s so important to know that there is somebody there to take care of your dog or cat in your absence. That’s what we do!
Like with most things we do in life we don’t complicate matters and we keep things simple. We are super flexible and always very personal. We always take the upmost care of animals we look after and treat them as our own. You only have to meet our Mac to know he’s the most loved dog in the world!
We’d love to speak to you. Julie the boss is always on hand to discuss you needs (unless she’s washing down a mucky pup when you call) so just give us a call or use the contact us form on the site if you need any information or have any questions.
Julie is our founder, number 1 pet carer, all round amazing person, lover of animals.
Julie has been walking dogs since she was little girl and finally decided, after many years of taking care of four legged friends on a casual basis, to start to offer her services professionally. She treats your pets as if they were her own, giving them all the love, affection and fun they could possibly wish for.
She can frequently be seen walking the fields, lanes and woodland of South Warrington with Mac alongside her, together with her daily bunch of friends.
She’s very smiley and lovely so say “Hi” if you see her.
He’s a cat. No, wait, he’s a dog…or is he a cat.
Vince doesn’t quite know what he is. He is Vera’s brother but acts more like his bigger brother, Mac. He always wants to come on dog walks. He sleeps in the dog’s bed and wants stroking and his belly rubbed all the time. He also eats more than anyone in the house….literally anything!
Vince keeps us entertained and is a valuable member of the Precious Paws team, giving us a real insight into what looking after a crazy cat is like.
If you hear a bonkers Meow type sound in the woods near us it’s probably him out on the hunt. He’ll most probably come and say hello he’s that confident.
Mac is our in house, live in, super spoilt mutt.
Mac joined us from a rescue centre after not being looked after very well. He was a very down, unloved and frail. This seems like a lifetime ago now as Mac is the most fun loving dog we’ve ever known. A big caring, affectionate, gentle, daft soul who just wants to please.
He loves having company and has his own little gang of friends who, like any teenager does, he plays out with. He likes nothing more than a teddy bear to play with, as well as being obsessed with tennis balls.
He accompanies Julie on most dog walking outings and will be a great walking companion and friends to your dog.
The lady of the Precious Paws team. Even Julie agrees.
Not a bit like her brother, Vincent. She likes her own space, she likes to get into peoples beds and not the dog’s bed. She even has ladylike table manners unlike Vincent who just just wolfs his food down and tries to eat Vera’s
Having 2 cats with such different behaviours is great, you get to learn how to treat animals, as individuals.
Vera won’t be joining us on walks, she hardly even ventures out of the street, she wouldn’t want to get her delicate paws wet.
She does like a toy fight with Vince though and often show him who the real boss is.
